چکیده

An approach to the design of artificial receptors is described involving the fusion of several sixmembered rings, preorganizing nitrogen and oxygen hydrogen bonding sites. A hexagonal lattice chemosensor extracts the blood metabolite creatinine into water and acts as a chromogenic reagent for this clinical analyte. Another receptor binds urea via six hydrogen bonds, forming a complex that is stable even in DMSO. A water-soluble receptor has now been synthesized that recognizes the guanidinium sidechain of arginine in aqueous media.

A New Colorimetric Azo-azomethine Probe for Fluoride Ion Detection Based on the Proton Transfer Signaling Mode: Real-life Applications

Four novel receptors were designed and synthesized for colorimetric detection of F− ions. The introduction of four electron withdrawing groups into the backbone of the receptors makes the two phenolic groups efficient hydrogen bonding sites. The binding properties of receptors with anions were examined for the first time by UV–Vis, 1H NMR and fluorescence spectroscopies. The addition of F− resu...

The anion recognition of simple-structure molecular tweezers receptors based on acyl-thiourea

Three title compounds have been designed and synthesized in high yields as novel simple anion receptors. They have a high selectivity for F and AcO. The binding properties for anions of the receptors have been examined by UV-Vis and H NMR spectroscopy. The spectrographic data indicate that a 1:1 stoichiometry complex is formed between the receptors and the anions through hydrogen bonding intera...

High Affinity Carboxylate Binding Using Neutral Urea-Based Receptors with Internal Lewis Acid Coordination.

Uncharged receptors for anions and cations have many potential applications ranging from membrane transport carriers for ion-selective electrodes to reaction catalysts.1 As a consequence, there is a need to design and synthesize neutral receptors with high binding affinities and/ or high binding selectivities. Unlike cation receptors, there are essentially no examples of biotic, low molecular w...

Synthetic Hydrogen-Bonding Receptors for Biologically Essential Monosaccharides

Novel macrocyclic saccharide receptors that possess terpyridine skeletons as a hydrogen-bonding site are presented. On modification of the hydrogen-bonding sites and the macrocyclic bridges, the receptors showed selective bindings for ribofuranosides, deoxyribofuranosides, and glucopyranosides, respectively. The binding affinities of the receptors were very high, so that native monosaccharides ...

Recognition properties of receptors based on dimesitylmethane-derived core: di- vs. monosaccharide preference.

Dimesitylmethane-derived receptors 12 and 13, incorporating four heterocyclic recognition groups capable of serving as hydrogen bonding sites, were designed to recognize disaccharides. It has been shown by 1H NMR and fluorescence spectroscopic titrations that compounds 12 and 13 display high binding affinities toward alpha- and beta-maltoside, as well as strong di- vs monosaccharide preference ...
